MAJOR GIFTS
The Rotary Foundation defines a major gift as a personal gift (outright or cumulative) of US$10,000 or more. Major gifts are encouraged for both the Annual Programs Fund and the Permanent Fund. In either case, the donor must be asked to which fund he / she would like the gift designated. Gifts of under $50,000 to the Permanent Fund can be further designated with the spending portion of the gift applied to the World Fund, where the need is determined greatest by the Trustees; or through the SHARE system.
The Rotary Foundation recognizes these special donors at six gift levels - from $10,000 to $1,000,000 or greater. Donors may elect to receive a crystal recognition piece and diamond circle pin commemorating the gift at each new recognition level.
