I am so excited and encouraged about the potentials for our very special club this Rotary year! The Rotary International Convention in Montreal left me encouraged and inspired.  Respected world leaders have conveyed their faith that Rotary, not governments, will bring peace and prosperity to the world.  I must agree.  I have seen firsthand the humanitarian efforts of Rotarians throughout the world as they work together to bring health, clean water, education, and sustenance to those in need, building respect and self-confidence.

Locally, we facilitate supplemental food for needy elementary school children with our Backback Program, help Neighbors Organized Against Hunger distribute food to the underprivileged, provide computer access for children and seniors in our community, present each 3rd grader in our local schools with a personal dictionary, and support other community organizations such as Scouting, the Red Cross, and the Boys & Girls Club.

The Rotary Club of Rohnert Park – Cotati is also a very social club; we’re all friends.  Monthly fellowship socials are hosted by and for our members, or by members of our sister club, the Rotary Club of Rancho Cotati.  We also host some amusing and entertaining community events, such as our annual Trio of Tournaments; Golf, Poker, & Bunco, each with its own enjoyments and pleasures.

Our weekly meetings are fun, lively, invigorating and informational.  Our speaker committee works diligently to provide interesting, motivating, and inspirational speakers.
